Plans and limits
Previews and PDFs in the editor are never counted: make as many as you need. PDFs made automatically (through the API, in batches or by an AI assistant) have an allowance per 5 hours and per week, so you can make hundreds at once without waiting. What the plans differ in is also on the pricing page. Your account page shows how much you've used.

AI fill-ins, AI template changes and dictation minutes come back on the 1st of each month. A template change that fails on our side doesn't count. Changing a template's code yourself is free on every plan.
One AI template change has its own limits, so a large request can't run on forever: about 40 steps and 12 minutes. When it reaches them, it stops and keeps what it changed so far; ask again to continue. Templates with a lot of text (over about 500 KB) can only be changed in the code.
Saved documents
Documents count while you keep them. My documents shows how many you have, and a notice once you've used 80%. Forms people fill in through your share links are always saved, also past your limit; while you're at or over it, you can't make new documents or share links. To make room, select documents (or filter them, for example by template or "not changed in a year") and delete them all at once, or delete a folder together with what's in it.
Deleted documents go to Recently deleted, where they stay for 14 days before they're removed for good. They no longer count towards your limit, and you can restore them with one click. This also goes for documents deleted through the API or by an assistant.
Storage
Storage counts the templates you publish or copy (the latest version of each) and the images you upload into forms, including your logo. Older versions of a template don't count: a new version takes the place of the previous one. Your account page shows how much you use.
Images people upload through your share links count once they submit the form, and they're always accepted, also past your limit, just like the documents. While you're over it, you can't upload images or publish templates yourself. Images a visitor uploads but never submits don't count, and are removed after a few days.
A template can be at most 10 MB in total, fonts and images included, with at most 200 files of at most 5 MB each. An uploaded image can be at most 8 MB; Craftadoc shrinks photos in your browser first, so they're usually much smaller.
To make room, delete templates you don't need. Images are removed automatically once nothing uses them: a few days after you replace them in a form, or when the documents they're in are removed for good from Recently deleted.
PDFs per 5 hours and per week
PDFs made through the API, in a batch or by an AI assistant count towards two rolling windows: the last 5 hours, and the last 7 days. When a window is used up, more become available as the oldest PDFs in it get older than 5 hours (or 7 days); the answer says when. A batch counts all its PDFs when it starts, and gives back the ones that couldn't be made. Saved documents and editor PDFs don't count.
Batches and temporary files
Many PDFs at once are made in the background as a batch: from a spreadsheet with Make many on a template's page, through the API, or by an AI assistant. The result is one .zip. Like a PDF an assistant makes without saving a document, it's kept for 3 days and then removed, together with the values it was made from. Only the counts remain.
Limits per minute
| What | Limit |
|---|---|
| Previews while you edit | 120 a minute |
| Previews while trying a template without an account | 30 a minute |
| API requests and AI assistant actions together | 60 a minute |
| Fill in with AI and template changes with AI together | 6 a minute |
| Dictation | 20 recordings a minute |
Over a limit, Craftadoc answers with status 429 and a short message; wait a moment and try again. A batch is one request, however many PDFs it makes.
