Terms of service
Last updated: 25 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of Craftadoc (craftadoc.com) and to any paid plan you buy. Please read them; by creating an account or buying a plan you agree to them. If you use Craftadoc for a business, "you" also means that business.
1. Who we are
Craftadoc is a service of:
- CodeBenchers, the trade name of Bart Moyaers, self-employed (autónomo) in Spain
- NIF: Z1401157W
- Email: info@craftadoc.com
2. The service
Craftadoc turns document templates into guided forms. You fill in a form and Craftadoc typesets your document as a PDF. You can save documents, upload images, publish your own templates, and share links so others can fill in a template for you.
We keep improving Craftadoc, so features may change. If we remove a feature that is part of a paid plan you are paying for, we will tell you in advance and, if it significantly reduces what you paid for, refund the unused part of your subscription.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Give a correct email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time on the account page. This deletes your documents, uploads and private templates, and ends any paid subscription right away (see section 6 about refunds).
4. Plans and prices
- The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on the pricing page.
- Personal and Pro are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly in advance. The pricing page shows what each plan includes.
- Prices in euros include VAT. Business customers in the EU who enter a valid VAT number pay no VAT where the reverse-charge rules apply. Prices in US dollars exclude sales tax, which is added where it applies.
- Previews and PDFs in the editor are unlimited under fair use: normal use by you or your organisation. Saved documents, PDFs through the API, batches and AI assistants, and requests per minute have the limits described in Plans and limits. Reselling Craftadoc's typesetting as a service isn't included.
- Deleted documents are kept in Recently deleted for 14 days, then removed for good. Batch results and PDFs made without saving a document are removed after 3 days.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- If we change the price of your plan, we tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. You can cancel before then.
5. Renewal, changes and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time under Account → Manage subscription. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for; after that your account moves to the Free plan.
- When you upgrade, you pay the difference for the rest of the current period straight away. When you downgrade, the unused amount is credited against your next payments.
- If a payment fails, we try again over the following days. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan.
- Moving to the Free plan never deletes your content. Anything above the Free plan's limits stays available to read and download, but you can't add more until you are within the limits again or upgrade.
6. Right of withdrawal and refunds
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. To do so, send a clear statement to info@craftadoc.com, for example: "I withdraw from my Craftadoc subscription bought on [date]."
Because you ask us to start your subscription straight away, if you withdraw you pay only for the days you used it, and we refund the rest within 14 days, to the payment method you used.
Apart from this, and where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refunded for a period that has already started; cancelling stops the next renewal.
7. Your content
- You keep all rights to what you put into Craftadoc: form values, images, documents and templates ("your content").
- You give us permission to store, process and show your content only as needed to run Craftadoc for you and for the people you share it with.
- Templates you publish openly are also offered to other users under the licence you declare in the template. You allow us to show them, their previews and their attribution on Craftadoc. Documents other people already made from your open templates stay theirs, also after you remove the template or your account.
- You confirm that you may use and share your content, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights. If you adapt someone else's work, follow its licence and credit its authors.
- We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use Craftadoc to:
- break the law, or create documents meant to deceive, such as forged certificates, invoices or identity documents;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights of others;
- send spam, or collect other people's data through share links without a lawful basis;
- attack, overload, scrape or work around the limits or security of Craftadoc, or upload malicious files.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules. If we close a paid account without it being your fault, we refund the unused part of your subscription.
9. Templates and the documents you make
Templates are provided by us and by other users. We check our own templates, but documents are generated from what you enter: check your document before you use it. Templates are tools, not legal, tax or professional advice.
10. Availability
We work to keep Craftadoc available and your content safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copy of documents you need, for example by downloading the PDF.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury, nor your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit or lost data that you could have kept a copy of. For business customers, our total liability is limited to the amount paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. For important changes we tell you by email at least 30 days in advance. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account before the changes apply.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country or of Spain.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@craftadoc.com; we answer within 14 days and will try to find a solution.
